So today, I devised an experiment to see whether they get angry at me because I'm not studying or because I'm an atheist. I made a tally spreadsheet where I count the times they either get angry, start a rant about my studies, or tolerate what it is I am doing that is not studying when I am sitting on my desk.
The experiment involves showing them that I am either playing Starcraft, reading stuff on Fig Hunter, or elsewhere arguing about religion. I count the times they do so for a month, or maybe more. After the experiment, I count the tally, and compare how often they see me doing those things. As the raw instances would be likely unequal, I would instead compare the rate at which they get angry, rant, or tolerate.
If the comparison shows that the figures are more or less equal, that would show that they get angry at me because I'm not studying when I should be. However, if the tally shows that either Fig Hunter or atheism causes them to be significantly angrier more often than Starcraft, it should follow that they dislike Fig Hunter and/or my atheism, NOT the fact that I am not studying.
Please note that I am of the latter mindset as I conduct this experiment. If you want to comment on the experiment, or how this entry was written, or how ugly my face is [despite the fact that you've never seen it], you may do so.
